DESIRES HOTELS GOES GREEN

In addition to the high-end style and dedication to personal comfort that make our properties popular
among business and leisure travelers alike, Desires Hotels is now making it possible for ecologically
concerned guests to leave smaller footprints when they travel. Desires Hotels is proud of its collaborative
approach to going green.

Through our green program, Conserve and Preserve, we are offering guests a few simple options that
can make a huge impact on our earth, without sacrificing the premium standards of service they enjoy
at our hotels. In-room reminders educate guests on options to conserve energy and resources during
their stay and at home.

Desires Hotels’ properties are known for their independent and often innovative boutique style. Many
of the properties in the collection are the result of stylish renovations of historic buildings, minimizing
the ecological impact of the hotel on the local community. From Milwaukee’s The Iron Horse Hotel to
Miami Beach's Hotel St. Augustine, the rebirth of these iconic buildings represents exciting green
alternatives to more resource-intensive new build projects.

WHILE VISITING THE HOTEL

Turn off room lights, televisions and radios when leaving - this will help
reduce the amount of energy consumed during your stay.

Use your towels like you would at home - hang your towels on the towel bar
and help save natural resources and lessen the dumping of detergents into
the environment.

Use the same linens - your bed will be made for you, by keeping your linens
you help save gallons of water and detergents used in washing.

Control the thermostat - turn it up or down depending on the season, this
helps prevent any unnecessary releasing of carbon dioxide in the environment.

Use less water - take a shorter shower, fill the sink rather than letting it run,
this can help prevent gallons of wasted water.

Control the lighting - turn on just the amount of light you need, this can help
save on the daily energy your room produces.
